New Feature: Posts
We just rolled out Posts on Daybreak. Like Instagram, a post is a photo + caption. But unlike social media, where each user has their own private feed, all posts on Daybreak go to a single, public feed.
We call this page the Gallery because it’s like walking into an art gallery: everyone starts with the same experience—”Here’s what’s happening in our community RIGHT NOW”.
How it works
Each photographer shares one post at a time to the Gallery. When you post a new photo, it appears at the top and your previous post is removed. This keeps the site fresh and dynamic while creating equal opportunity to have your work seen.
The Gallery is arranged chronologically, newest images on top.
For Premium members, all your posts are saved on your profile, so anyone who wants to see more of your work can do so there, and Posts replaces your 5-image portfolio. You can now share unlimited images over time, with one always featured in the Gallery.
For Free members, your profile displays your latest post in place of your website screenshot.
What’s next
Filtering and Engagements (Likes, Saves, etc.) are still in development but coming soon.
The initial idea behind Daybreak was to create a place for photographers to share their work and be discovered off social media.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
