This week we finish building a dashboard for all members. To access it: visit the Login page and put your email address into the Member Login field. You’ll get a magic link that will take you to your dashboard.

When you get to your dashboard, please update your search terms! We recently refactored how we do search on Daybreak. We now use industry-standard terms, to make search more intuitive for art producers and photo editors, and we split up Specialties (what you shoot) and Categories (who you shoot for).

You can also update your screenshot.

You need to update your listing on your dashboard to be fully searchable under this improved system. It will only take a few minutes.

We also added a strangely addictive feature called Stumble, which returns a random listing. And we launched Portfolios, which display Premium members’ portfolio images in a gallery. Both are accessible from the homepage, daybreakdirectory.com.

When we started Daybreak, we set out to build a site with the search-ability of a directory and the aliveness of social media.

Now that we’ve built the basic directory functionality, we’re pivoting to work on social features that we hope will make Daybreak a dynamic place to see what’s happening in commercial photography right now.

We are going to need 20-30 people to help test these new features. If you’re interested, reach out to me directly and I’ll put you on the list.
